Sometimes birding isn't so much about observing a bird, identifying it, lumping or splitting it, ticking or listing it or digiscoping it. Sometimes its just a bird being the icing on the cake of a perfectly composed scene or moment and its in these moments of fleeting perfection that I think birding is at its most pure.

BTW, I like the new header... although it seems to be vying with the old one for supremacy.
There were 3 but I believe only 2 are definately visible here.
