Its exceedingly rare that I'd take any souvenirs from a dive - probably a reaction from having to explain underwater to halfwitted tourists that that nice shell they just tried to pocket is alive too many times but I saw this dead bivalve and had to bring it up with me for a photo on dry land.
Once it had dried out I kind of kept expecting it to flap a few times then fly away.
