This is a wattled jacana or lily trotter. The feet spread its weight allowing it to walk on floating vegetation without sinking. Awesome huh? This is the same species that was harassing that poor anaconda I showed you tuesday. Obviously the snakes pose a real risk to waterbirds and so they mob them just like songbirds mob hawks.
