The best way to eat passionfruit...

...is to pick a really wrinkly nasty looking one. Some cultivars of P. edulis turn purple when ripe, some don't.

When you get the one you want you take the top off, add a spoonful of brown sugar, give it a stir and eat with your teaspoon. Nice. Trust me. Of course prior to picking one needs pollination.

Some bees like to wait for the flower to open, leaving a pristine flower for me to photograph. Others just get impatient, break in and trash the joint.......
