Hispaniola's other rock iguana is the rhinoceros iguana. So named because of....well...its pretty obvious.
I believe these two are males - big horns and the ridge at the back of the head being the clues here. The horns are supposedly armour protecting against damage from thorns and spines on their food plants.This one somewhat undermined their awesomeness for me. He was utterly unable to shift that fly on the side of his head and cut a rather pathetic figure wandering around twitching occasionally.
