Sightings

4 dives and various other activities means lots to report this week:

Lots of small fish coming into the outlying islands drew in some interesting birds:

  • Tropic bird sp. (only my second sighting here);
  • a few different terns;
  • audubons's shearwater;
  • brown noddy;
  • American oystercatcher X 3;
  • lil blue heron;
  • yellow crowned night heron;
  • green heron;

Plus underwater:

  • self found pregnant seahorse (possibly individual #5, possibly a relocated #1);
  • monster hawksbill turtle sleeping in a wreck;
  • the "tame" green turtle;
  • sailfin blenny;
  • spawning hermit crabs;
  • slipper lobster;
  • juvenile queen trigger;
  • eyed flounder;
  • post-larval yellow headed jaw;
  • southern stingray X2.

Oh. And the Snake of course.

OWl UPDATE TOMORROW - WITH PICTURES!
