One of our favourite dive sites here is a reef at the end of an island which gives way to sandy plateaus and seagrass as it gets deeper. I always finish a dive there by finning out over the relatively barren seagrass desert rather than exploring the reef under the boat and a lot of visiting divers seem bemused why. This is what I'm looking for:
