The Ocho

Here's another reef squid - these chaps are fairly common in the caribbean but always a pleasure to see. This one was fairly curious and kept a big beady eye on me whilst keeping a safe amount of distance between us.

He also adopted a head up stance with the tentacles pointing vertically as he checked me out. Whilst we do see plenty of octos and squid, I haven't seen any cuttlefish or bobtails over here. Nevermind, more on those two later.

I've been browsing your images in flickr. I have to ration myself to a few pages a day or I wouldn't get anything else done. I'm still a great fan of your photography. Your new life in the Caribbean sounds idyllic.
