Flamingo's tongue

I don't know why these chaps are called Flamingo's tongues I'm afraid nor do I know what an actual flamingo's tongue looks like. What I do know is that though they look like cowries they are actually false cowries specifically Cyphoma gibbosum.

These two (one on the front and one on the back) are eating a sea whip type soft coral but they are particularly common here on purple sea fans. At about an inch long max they are one of the many little wonders many snorkellers and divers overlook but I don't know many underwater photographers who can pass one by without a shot or two.
