Welcome, Swallows

I'll soon be saying farewell for the year (rather than welcome) to our European Swallows, I suspect without any nice photos. These Welcome Swallows in Australia will have to do.

 

Brilliantly these birds nested on a boat used for boat tours near Kuranda and spent the duration of the tour following the boat and coming in to land and feed their young - even as we cruised up river at speed. What fantastically adaptable little chaps.
