I can dig it.

Plenty of ducks turning up on island now with this cold snap heading across the UK. Last week I got great looks at a trio of shoveler. I like the detail on the bill in this shot of a young drake; you can see how its bill helps it feed pretty clearly - it almost looks like the baleen of a great whale.

Female ducks tend to look the same but even so its pretty obvious this is a shoveler.....
