Another brick in the Gadwall

The whitefronts weren't the only arrivals......

In the background up top is a herd of wigeon, in foreground a little flock of gadwall.



The Gadwall is another of those birds which doesn't look much until you examine it closely through good optics wherein greys and browns reveal themselves to be intricately patterned textures, and block colours reveal themselves to be crisp sets of markings all of their own.
