Froggy bycatch

Whilst out searching for snakes, one can come across all sorts in the tropics at night. I heard these guys far more often than I saw one but I did track one down in a handy pose. This tiny little frog is Hyla cinerea - the American green tree frog, a tremendously widespread and successful little frog which ranges all across the southern USA except California.

One thing I always miss when I return to temperate climes from the tropics is the chorus of the frogs in the evenings. Before I left Singapore I actually made a half-hearted effort to record a rainy night's frogs to play as background music and lull me to sleep back in the UK (if anyone knows of any good such recordings of Asian frogs I'm still interested in fact).
