Oh dear...

Remember that post I made about how I'd got a DSLR and big lens to avoid missing shots of birds in flight and stuff?

Turns out you don't always want to carry a huge 500mm lens and camera with you.

Turns out sometimes you want to stick a P&S in your pocket.

Turns out some of those times you'll be staring at something whilst sitting alone on a beach for ages and then realise there is a huge female osprey roosting in the tree above your head.

Then you end up with this. Bah!

Summer osprey is actually a pretty good record here and I saw this the day before when we were doing a bird survey too so I can't complain too much....but I will.
