Sightings

A little trip this weekend so no diving. Nonetheless sightings included a few West Indian specialities and some vagrants from elsewhere in the world - more on those later in the week.

For now though, landbased sightings included
  • bananaquits at various stages of reproduction including one feeding newly hatched nestlings hidden in a busy restaurant - no camera but they seem to nest all over the show so its only a matter of time;
  • some rather nice Ameiva sp. (presumed exsul);
  • an interesting moth or two;
  • nice red tailed hawk;
  • caribbean grackle; and
  • white crowned pigeon.
