Frog in the bath

I was delighted when my better half informed me she'd just found a frog in the bath. I have no idea how it got there but since, like most rainfrogs, it was tiny it could've got in by a number of means.

As you can see it has red eyes which is a (predictable) give away for the Red-eyed rainfrog, Eleutherodactylus antillensis (we have a couple of species from this genus).

It wasn't the most cooperative subject so these next two are shot where he landed. As an indication of scale that's a computer power lead he's sat on and he's probably about full size (ie tiny).

I like this shot as you get a really good view of both those marvellous red-eyes and his spectacular griptastic toepads.

Thanks guys - he is cute!

Lest anyone get confused I should perhaps have added that the bath was empty of both water and people at the time for the sake of clarity!
