I don't think I've put this up before - if I have I can't find it.
This is the grave of the first director of Kirstenbosch botanic gardens in Cape Town - its in a lovely grove of Cedrus atlantica glauca in a beautiful spot. The cedars were a gift from RBG Kew.
The inscription at the bottom reads "if ye seek his monument look around". Nice thought, stunning monument.

It must be grave week. Check out my post from Feb 1. Cemeteries are a great place to check out plants, trees and "ornaments."
I like the quote. I'll have to think of something profound for my own marker. Although that'd be a tough quote to beat.
Wish we could all be so lucky as to find ourselves in a resting place as beautiful as this! I agree - really nice inscription.
