Chandelier

Shrimpfish typically move around the reef vertically in small groups. It doesn't look it from pictures but its very effective camouflage; they give the impression of a soft coral or gorgonian waving in the current. This group was unlike any others I've seen though - a huge aggregation sheltering in a rotting fishing net. Hanging vertically in the water and lit by my strobe they remind me of an enormous crystal chandelier in a palace somewhere.
