Sea slugs

I thought it about time I posted some underwater stuff. One of the things that almost all divers find exciting is finding a seaslug or nudibranch. These molluscs are almost all poisonous and hence have sensational colour patterns to deter predators. There are hundreds of species and many colour variants so you are always in with a chance of seeing a new one like this Nembrotha

Although they are brightly coloured they can be tricky to see until you get your eye in but when you do you see them all over the place. This is a Flabellina.

For more information or to learn to identify the different species visit the Sea slug forum at http://www.seaslugforum.net/
