Praying mantis

I took this shot of a gorgeous praying mantis whilst off-gassing at the cafe of the Marsa Nakari eco-village dive centre in Egypt. He is sat on a Bouganvillia. I've never seen such a beautifully patterned mantid.

    Well....I see green, tan, orange and cream stripes so I'm guessing planet seventies!
